The Lake in Winter

(Harbert, Michigan) I realized a day makes all the difference when we’re dealing with the onset of real winter and that great inland sea we know as Lake Michigan.  When I walked the beach Sunday before sunset, ice was forming on the beach.  When I walked the beach Monday before sunset, the lake itself was icing over.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but I promise to get a good night’s sleep before heading down to find out.
