Train Spotting

(Michigan City, Indiana)  I confess to being a train spotter.  If I hear or see an approaching train, I will turn around and go back to watch it pass.  I look up from whatever we are praying at church to watch Amtrak’s Pere Marquette roll on down the line to Chicago on Sunday mornings, and when I am in Chicago, I gravitate to the famous Loop elevated tracks.  Here are a few of the trains I spotted the other day while on my way to spot the Chicago Symphony Orchestra:

South Shore Freight is ready to go to work at Shops.

South Shore Train 606 finishes a morning run into Chicago on a sunny Sunday. The train is leaving the Museum Campus/11th Street stop and heading for Van Buren.
