Looping the Loop

(Chicago, Illinois) We celebrated the last concert of our 2015-2016 subscription series at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Friday, June 10 with a pre-concert walk around Chicago’s famous Loop.  Here’s the evidence of a good time had by all.  P.S.  We renewed for the 2016-2017 at the CSO, and we’ll be back in row B occupying seats 5 & 7 in memory of the CSO’s beloved patron, Hannah McKelvy.  Thanks for a superb season.  Now enjoy the show:

  1. We’ve had season tickets to the South Bend Symphony for many years, a great ‘mid-major’ in the US.

Was good to meet you in person yesterday!

    • John, Yes, at last my dim brain made the connection. I’ll sit with you next meeting. Do you ever take the South Shore? I’ve found it works if you get the early train Sunday and take the Orange Line to Halsted and walk from there. I usually make it to Mass right on time.

      • Lol, that’s Ok, we are all getting old and dim!

I usually drive in to Chicago as we often visit our oldest son on the northside (Wrigleyville), and it is easier to be able to drive around sometimes. we usually take the South Shore a few times a year, though, especially when the Cubs are home, as parking is a mess up that way on those days.

        Go Sox….!

  2. And if you are in ‘The Bend’ (South Bend), let me know….we can grab a bite to eat then, too. 574-210-2480 is my cell.

    • We’ll ride the train together eventually. Meanwhile, I have put your number on my phone and will call you next time I’m heading your way. My music teacher lives in South Bend and I occasionally have lessons at his house.
