Sandhills

To be precise, we should refer to them as Sandhill Cranes, but we see them cross the road in LaPorte County, Indiana we stop for a precise shot.  Sandhills nest in open meadows and grassy tundra.  They are busy showing the little ones the ways of the world before the fall migration.
