Sideways in America

Say it ain't so, Joe. Well, Joe says it is so. The Cubs won the World Series and Donald Trump was elected President of the United States of America, both in 2016. And, yes, I predicted both from the git-go. Now relax and enjoy the ride. Or go to Canada, but good luck with that.

Really Charley, You predicted Trumps win? It never occurred to me that it was possible that he could win. I didn’t even listen to the returns so certain was I that Trump could not win. I was stunned when I turned on NPR this morning.

So tell me what am I missing here? What do you know about the USA that I don’t get? I’m assuming that the outsourcing of manufacturing to other countries is the underlying problem but how could anyone believe that Trump is going to change that? It’s the Republican party that has allowed outsourcing and has expanded it. It is the Republican Party that has stopped Obama in every effort he made to help working people get back in the working force although he has been hampered by Congress every step of the way.

I’m serious Charley, what do you see that I’m missing? Jess
