For God and Country

Let the Looting Begin

A voter’s opinion

by Charles McKelvy

If you think Main Street hasn’t been snookered by Donald J. Trump and his Wall Street cronies, just wait.

William Black is to be believed, and the former federal financial regulator, who put the S&L crisis of the 1980s to bed, IS to be believed when he predicts that we are about to witness the biggest corporate heist of the public’s piggy bank in American history.

When Trump says he would make America great again, he means that he will strip away any and all restraint to the unbridled greed of his crony capitalist pals. More for the one percent and a whole lot less for us, the poor schmucks of the 99 percent.

The Donald’s pick to head the Small Business Administration—wrestling tycoon Linda McMahon, hates small businesses, and his man to head the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, wants to defang the EPA and let the looters pollute our air and water with gay abandon.

The private sector, particularly the massive multi-nationals and the too-big-to-fail Wall Street banks will reduce the middle class to abject poverty and take every unguarded nickel for themselves. And, trust me folks when I say there won’t be anyone guarding our nickels anymore.

But we poor folks on Main Street won’t notice that we’re being looted, polluted, pillaged and abandoned by the side of the road. We’ll be too busy watching the professional wrestlers who have to pay for their own medical expenses thanks to the woman Trump named to head the Small Business Administration.

And we haven’t even opened the lid on the rest of Trump’s nominations.

Oh, they’re gonna make America great again.

Great for themselves and their rich pals.

As for the rest of us poor schmucks, they’re gonna make America groan again, and, yes, we’re in for a Trumpy ride.

And now let us all enjoy some stale popcorn as we watch the following interview with Bill Black:

In the coming years we may experience a “Trumpocalypse”. I’m not looking forward to it.
