Swan’s Way

(Three Oaks, Michigan) All right, this looks more like a painting than a photograph, but this Trumpeter Swan and its three companions was more than 250 yards away when I took this from Schwark Road on Tuesday morning.  We were headed for the Three Oaks Water Treatment Ponds when Natalie spotted four white objects at the other end of a cornfield.  "Stop!" she said.  Stop I did.  Aren't you glad?
