Poor Man’s Clarinet

I was thinking I needed another clarinet—you know, as a back-up for my Buffet RC—but the comptroller informs me there is nothing in the budget for such an expenditure.  But then, just in time, my friend Chuck Perkins sent me the following, so I am getting out the carrots and drill and funnel and mouthpiece and having a go at it.  Check it out:
