Rained Out

(Guaranteed Rate Field, Chicago) Yoan Moncada’s much-anticipated debut in a White Sox uniform was doused by the Dodgers and torrential rain in the bottom of the 7th Wednesday night, resulting in a rain-shortened 9-1 victory by that team in blue from La-La-Land.  Still, we got to hear Riders on the Storm by the Doors during what we thought was a rain delay, but, of course, turned into a rain-out.  A good time was had by all, nonetheless, even though some of us got drenched heading back to our cars.  ’til next time: THE SOX WILL RISE AGAIN!

Those in the know, know of a great place for tacos just west of the ballpark.

Yoan Moncada took a base on balls in his first appearance at the plate in a White Sox uniform.

The grounds crew got to roll out the tarp in a heavy downpour. Great work, guys!

A light show in the rain.

And now for a drive home in the rain by the light of the lightning. I tell you: you have to be tough to be a Sox fan.
